Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to delineate and to ponder about Hero's Journey as an approach used in Mitch Albom's literary work entitled Tuesdays With Morrie which is done in University of Rizal System, Morong, Rizal, Campus A.Y. 2017-2018. The study made use of descriptive-qualitative method of research. Since this study's chief intention is to scrutinize and interpret Mitch Albom's novel "Tuesdays with Morrie" and its stages and archetypal features. The data of the study were filled up through the discussion of each stage of Hero's Journey as well as the archetypes present in the novel. The findings are summarized as: The twelve stages of Hero's Journey were present in the novel Tuesdays with Morrie. Seven out of eight archetypes are also present in the novel. The stages and archetypes led to the attainment of the man's search of his identity, happiness, and truth. In conclusion, the following are observed in the novel Tuesdays with Morrie of Mitch Albom. The researchers succeed in scrutinizing the novel Tuesdays with Morrie as they scholarly discovered that the use of Hero's Journey approach is not only limited to mythology and can also be utilized in modern literature. Moreover, the researchers ascertained that this approach can also be manifested in real life. Those factors worked together to fulfill the goals of this study and those features helped to develop the stages and archetypes that highlighted the Hero's Journey approach
